The Canaan Avalon Nano 3 is a compact SHA-256 ASIC miner for Bitcoin (BTC) rated at 4 TH/s. It belongs to Canaan’s Avalon Home line, which pairs Bitcoin mining with room heating, and it is the model that the 6 TH/s Avalon Nano 3S later upgraded. It runs from an external power adapter, is set up through Canaan’s Avalon Family app, and can be switched to lower power settings when you want less heat or quieter running.

Power and setup

The Nano 3 is a desk-size unit powered through its adapter, so it plugs into a standard 120 V household outlet and does not call for a dedicated circuit or special wiring. Because it is built to release its heat into the room, give it open space around the air outlet, keep it away from curtains and bedding, and avoid enclosing it in a cabinet. After the adapter is connected, you add your pool address and worker name in the app and the unit begins hashing.
